man dead after east chezzetcook fire tuesday morning

rcmp say a man is dead after a house fire in lower east chezzetcook on tuesday.
halifax regional firefighters initially responded to a call of smoke in the area of east chezzetcook and conrad beach roads just before 7:30 a.m., but while en route received more calls reporting that a house was on fire.
when firefighters arrived they found the home in the 1600 block of east chezzetcook road on fire and began defensive operations, the halifax firefighter union’s facebook page said.
rcmp said that once the fire was extinguished, the body of a 59-year-old man was found inside.
the investigation into the cause of the fire and the man’s death is continuing.
