costco canada issues recall of popular snacks over mould, possible allergic reactions

costco canada has recalled certain lots of two snack items sold across the country.
the alfa croissant with cocoa cream filling is being recalled “due to the potential presence of mould,” according to the quebec-based company distribution m.f.g inc., which distributes the specialty baked goods.
they are sold in both costco business centres and the business centre’s website in 24-count boxes between june 2026 and july 2026.
“please do not consume, serve, use, sell or distribute the alfa croissants that are being recalled,” the notice added.

not so sweet

meanwhile, cadbury dairy milk oreo candy bars have also been recalled by the retailer.
the boxes are sold only as a 12 x 38 g tray at costco business centres or online.
parent company mondelez canada is voluntarily recalling affected lot codes with specific best before dates over the possibility that the bars may contain pistachio, which isn’t listed on the packaging.
“people who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to pistachio may risk serious allergic reactions by consuming this product,” the notice warned.

the company revealed the affected lot numbers along with upc codes and corresponding best before dates.
the upc numbers on the back of the case are 0 61200 01444 0, while the upc numbers on the wrappers are 0 61200 01445 7.

“please do not consume, serve, use, sell or distribute the cadbury dairy milk oreo candy bars listed above that are being recalled,” costco noted.

the candy bars can be returned to any costco warehouse for a full refund.
