for a while, it didn’t seem like even prison could hold sean “diddy” combs down.
but just a week after the disgraced music mogul’s release date was bumped up, the federal bureau of prisons pushed it back, tmz is reporting.
diddy’s original release date of june 4, 2028 has so far been bumped up four times — may 8, 2028, april 25, 2028, april 15, 2028 and jan. 24, 2028 — though it is unclear why his release date has fluctuated in recent months.
combs, 56, now won’t get out until feb. 20, 2028, following a fight with a fellow inmate at new jersey’s fci fort dix, according to the outlet.

bad boy for life

this comes after diddy reportedly was moved to solitary confinement after he got into a heated altercation with another inmate who disrespected him.
combs “held his own” during the brawl, per tmz, which was quickly squashed by prison guards.
a spokesperson for the federal bureau of prisons said the agency does not comment on the “conditions of confinement, disciplinary matters, or other information regarding individual inmates due to privacy, safety, and security concerns.”
meanwhile, fci fort dix did not confirm whether diddy was indeed moved to solitary.
“we are not at liberty to disclose or provide internal information pertaining to any inmate in our custody,” a spokesperson for the facility told tmz. “such information would not be available for the public domain.”

why is diddy behind bars?

the bad boy records founder was initially arrested in september 2024 on charges including a racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking, with his alleged crimes stretching back a decade.
the case went to trial in may 2025 and two months later he was cleared of two counts of trafficking and one count of racketeering conspiracy.
diddy was sentenced to 50 months in federal prison in october 2025 after being found guilty on two charges of transportation for prostitution.
