after two seasons playing in the edmonton oilers’ farm system, the 22-year-old goaltender has signed with erc ingolstadt panthers is the deutsche eishockey liga, which boasted the league’s top regular-season record last season at 38-10-3-1.
a former member of the sun county panthers, the six-foot-, 176-pound brochu won the f.w. dinty moore trophy with the london knights in 2019-20 for boasting the lowest rookie goal-against average in the ontario hockey league in 2019-20.
he was named the ohl’s jim rutherford trophy as the league’s goaltender of the year in 2021-22 and won 89 regular-season games over parts of three seasons with the knights.
last season, brochu posted a 20-10-5 record in the echl with fort wayne with a 2.42 goals-against average and .923 save percentage. he also appeared in five ahl games with bakersfield with a 2.83 goals-against average and .913 save percentage.
jacobs leads clippers

spears drop ravens
