the man was near east hastings street and jackson avenue at around 9:15 a.m. on tuesday when he was targeted by a group.
“this was a very serious incident where a senior who lives in the area was going for a walk in the neighbourhood and was attacked and robbed,” vancouver police spokeswoman const. megan lui said thursday.
one of the robbers pushed the senior to the ground and punched him in the face several times before stealing his personal belongings, said the vpd. when the senior tried to get his things back, he was slammed into a wall twice.
police released a video showing the victim crossing the street, chasing a man with a large black bag slung over a shoulder. another man could be seen grabbing the senior and slamming him against the wall.
