sketch released of suspect in attempted child abduction in abbotsford

police in abbotsford have released a sketch of a suspect in an alleged child abduction attempt involving two girls under age 10.
at about 5:30 p.m. on wednesday, july 22, police were called after the two girls, who were playing outside their apartment complex at 33538 marshall rd., were approached by a man they didn’t know who tried to convince them to get into his car.
“during the encounter, one of the girls called out for her parents, who were nearby, prompting the suspect to leave the area,” said abbypd sgt. paul walker in a statement released saturday.
the girls were not physically harmed, said walker.
