one teen dead, another person in serious condition after crash in north vancouver

a teenager is dead and another person in serious condition after a crash in north vancouver friday night.
north vancouver rcmp say at about 10:30 p.m., a single-vehicle collision occurred near the intersection of berkley avenue and sechelt drive, where a white bmw 535 was crashed into a tree. despite life-saving efforts by paramedics, the driver, a 19-year-old man from north vancouver, died.
the passenger was taken to hospital in serious condition and is expected to survive, according to rcmp.
the intersection was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
