a man has “potentially life-threatening” injuries after being hit by a transit bus in surrey.
shortly after 9:30 p.m. on saturday, the surrey police service was called about a seriously injured pedestrian at the intersection of 128th street and 96th avenue.
when officers arrived, the man was being treated by b.c. emergency health service paramedics. a coast mountain bus driver was on scene.
the adult male who had been hit was taken to hospital with “critical, potentially life-threatening injuries,” said staff sgt. lindsey houghton in a statement.
the cause of the crash is not known. the intersection was closed for several hours overnight but has reopened.
