update: the missing woman has been located
vancouver police are searching for a 51-year-old woman who earlier this month had been reported missing in miami, florida.
on tuesday, vancouver police reported kristin balter was last seen on monday in kitsilano just before 7:30 p.m. on west broadway, between blenheim and waterloo, when she asked to use a bystander’s phone.
kristin is 5-foot-3, has a slim build, blonde hair and was last seen wearing a hospital gown and a head-covering made from a pillowcase.
vancouver police are asking anyone who sees balter not to approach her and call 9-1-1 immediately.
on oct. 17, the miami police department in florida said balter had been reported missing from downtown miami. at that point, she was seen wearing a long floral dress.
balter has several social media accounts with photographs of her matching those released by police. according to those profiles, balter is a digital nomad, a property management consultant and an event/retreat organizer.
