peel regional police have finally closed the loop on a robbery from earlier this year in mississauga.
on march 7, at approximately 3:30 a.m., officers responded to a hotel in the area of hurontario st. and derry rd.
at the time, a man was allegedly robbed at gunpoint by three people, who then fled the scene. the victim suffered minor injuries during the incident.
abdoulkader abdi, 33, of toronto, was arrested and charged with robbery and various firearm-related charges.
in total, he was dinged with eight offences, including robbery, unauthorized possession of a firearm and possession of a prohibited device or ammunition for a dangerous purpose. abdi was out on bail at the time of the incident.
the other two assailants fled the scene.
but officers from peel 12 division criminal investigation bureau have now identified and arrested two additional suspects, a july 30 release reported.
latef el din, 30, of calgary, and kimberly macintryre, 28, of mississauga, are both charged with robbery.

teen nabbed for attempted stabbing in oshawa
a teenaged boy faces multiple knife-related charges after he allegedly attempted to stab another teen in oshawa.
on tuesday at approximately 7:50 p.m., durham regional police officers responded to an armed person call at a mcdonald’s restaurant located at 2585 thoroughbred st. in the windfields area northwest of downtown.
police claim the two teens were involved in an altercation when the13-year-old boy allegedly brandished a knife and attempted to stab a 16-year-old boy who was able to flee. the victim did not suffer any physical injuries.
the assailant fled the area prior to police arrival. but officers subsequently located a suspect at his residence where he was taken into custody without incident.
investigators later executed a search warrant at the residence and allegedly found the knife used in the incident.
