toronto police are looking for one suspect in a possible sexual assault incident.
on saturday at about 2:46 a.m., police responded to a call in the steeles ave. e. and warden ave. area of the city.
it is alleged that the victim was walking in an alleyway when the suspect approached from behind and pushed the victim to the ground. the suspect then allegedly assaulted the victim before fleeing the area, running towards warden.
the suspect is described as a 5-foot-8 brown male with short black hair, about 30 to 40 years old. he was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, red-striped shorts, running shoes and wearing a blue medical mask.

possible arson being investigated
toronto fire responded to a possible arson incident early on monday morning.
“it is being investigated as suspected arson, though the circumstances leading up to the fire were not immediately clear,” toronto police said in a social media post about the blaze in mimico.
at about 5 a.m., toronto fire crews arrived at a business located in the lake shore blvd. and albert ave. area in the city’s east end.
the fire was extinguished and there were no injuries reported.
no description of the possible suspect or suspects was available.

one person injured in scarborough fire
one person was injured in a mid-morning blaze in scarborough.
at 10:17 a.m. on monday morning, toronto fire responded to an apartment building fire in the kennedy rd. and eglington ave. east area.
toronto police said an individual was transported to hospital with unknown injuries. the fire was extinguished.
