the crown has stayed charges that alleged naveed irshad committed sexual assault and sexual interference against two young girls in january. the charges were replaced by a document alleging the 54-year-old man put the two girls “in fear that he would cause personal injury” to them.
on nov. 20 in regina provincial court, he agreed to enter a peace bond for a term of 12 months, which comes with a set of conditions he must follow.
in entering the peace bond, he was agreeing that he caused the aforementioned fear of personal injury on jan. 4, 2024. but he did not receive a criminal conviction.
however, if he breaches the associated conditions, he could face a criminal charge.

charges against irshad were announced in january. at that time, the regina police service stated an investigation began after it
received a report that two youths had been sexually assaulted on jan. 4 by the employee of a business on the 400 block of albert street north.
police did not name the business but specified that it offered “entertainment services, primarily, to children.”
irshad was charged with two counts of sexual interference and two counts of sexual assault, all of which have now been stayed.
