this photo of reshaun norman cote was submitted by the regina police service. cote is wanted on a canada-wide warrant in relation to a regina homicide.
the crown has stayed a charge of second-degree murder that was brought against a teen in relation to regina’s first homicide of 2024. the 17-year-old cannot be named in keeping with the youth criminal justice act. he was one of two people initially charged in the death of 22-year-old everett wolfe roberts-orr.
around 1:50 p.m. on may 12, officers were sent to the 4800 block of sherwood drive after getting a report of a firearms offence, according to a news release issued by police at the time.
initial information indicated that there was a male on a driveway that had been shot,” the release stated.
roberts-orr was taken to hospital, but he did not survive.
according to court records, the murder charge against the 17-year-old was stayed by the crown in november. when asked, the prosecutor who handled the file said she could not comment on the reason for the stay of proceedings.
the teen was charged alongside isaiah james dustyhorn, who was 24 at the time. according to provincial court staff, the charge against dustyhorn is still active.
police also announced in may that then-22-year-old reshaun norman cote was wanted canada-wide for second-degree murder in relation to the death.

in the original news release indicating he was wanted, police warned the public not to approach him, stating that he is “likely armed and dangerous.”
cote is still at large and currently sits at no. 9 on a list of canada’s 25 most wanted fugitives, which is compiled by what’s known as the bolo program. bolo is an acronym for “be on the lookout.”
