why we love it: two montreal companies have teamed up for a stylish collaboration that’s all about creating rework-able and rewearable pieces that you can style for years to come.
from the slow fashion brand &or collective and the jewelry line deux lions, the collaboration includes three limited-edition accessories pieces aptly named the art of adornment.
featuring an everything bag crafted from soft suede ($180) with a “sculptural stone zipper,” the release also includes two stunning statement jewelry designs inspired by an unlikely creative source.
“after chatting with the &or team, i went on a walk. before i knew it, i found myself with my knees in the dirt picking up smooth rocks from the ground. they were white and soft, yet bold and balanced in their asymmetry,” says charlotte piché, founder and designer of deux lions. “mother nature showed me exactly what to do. i used these sculptural stones as the muse, sketched their silhouettes, and turned them into pendants and a bead for the pouch.”
the two jewelry styles include isla, a sterling silver pendant ($370) on a japanese waxed cotton cord that can be worn either as a necklace or a wrap-style bracelet, and petra ($290), a smaller, 14-karat gold over sterling stone-inspired pendant the two companies agree is “perfect for layering.”
