no pain, no gain.
despite the aches and pains that come with cosmetic surgery, actress denise richards says getting a facelift a year ago was “the best thing i did for myself.”
appearing on the latest episode of bunnie xo’s dumb blonde podcast, the “drop dead gorgeous” star talked about the cosmetic procedures she had in order to remain looking youthful.
the 55-year-old told bunnie xo she originally planned on getting a neck lift, but was encouraged to get a full facelift. richards said she had previously “done a little botox” and filler, but wasn’t happy with the results.
that’s when she decided to pay a visit to cosmetic surgeon dr. ben talei.

richards was ‘terrified’ of full facelift at first

after meeting with talei, richard said she decided to go through with a full facelift, a decision that “terrified her,” per people.
she said she “wanted to put things back up, where they were before.”
richard compared getting a facelift to remodelling a house, stating you “do one room and the room looks great, but it doesn’t match the rest of the house.”
“so i told him, ‘you’re the artist,'” said richards. “his work was impeccable; i saw so many before and afters.”

the “wild things” actress said talei “did everything” during the procedure.
“he did the neck, the lower face, the upper, the brow lift. the only thing he didn’t do were my lower lids. he did my upper lids,” she said.

richards said the pain from the brow lift was “no joke,” and admitted she was still numb under the chin.
despite the aches and pain, richards said: “it was the best thing i did for myself.”
